BIO

I’m Ritik Kumar, a Data Engineer at Affine Analytics with over 4 years of experience in designing and building data solutions.

I began my career working in a data-focused role where I primarily handled SQL, Excel, and data coming from CRM and ERP systems. This involved data extraction, complex transformations, and reporting, which helped me build a strong foundation in data handling and data processing.

After that, I moved into an analyst role where my responsibilities became more aligned with data engineering. I started working on Azure Data Factory and Power BI backend, and I was involved in writing SQL queries for data transformation and building structured data workflows for reporting.

In my current role, I’ve transitioned more fully into data engineering. I work extensively with Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, and I use Python for API-based data ingestion. My work involves building and orchestrating data pipelines, processing large datasets, and enabling data for downstream analytics.

Overall, my career progression has been a gradual shift from data reporting and analysis toward building scalable data pipelines and working more on the engineering side of data.
